The planning system is ever-changing and becoming more and more complex, meaning that even straightforward schemes require significant professional input from a wide range of development consultants. Our town planners have extensive professional experience in both private and public sectors, especially in the South West of England.
The Practice has a well-developed client base with a reputation for professionalism and excellent contacts, and maintains close and constructive working relationships with local authorities and public/private sector professionals. We also attend training and information events to ensure we retain our understanding of an evolving environment and that the best interests of our clients are represented.
Maria Bailey Joins Clayewater Planning Group
Maria Bailey is a planner with over 30 years’ experience in private practice and local authorities.
Prior to joining Clayewater Planning Group in June 2018, Maria ran Maria Bailey Planning Ltd, setting up the practice in 2010. She has worked as a Planning Consultant at Tamworth Borough Council, Leicester City Council, Lichfield District Council, Torridge District Council and was a partner in GM Planning Services.
In the first 5 months of operating as Clayewater Planning Group, we are pleased that out of 31 planning applications submitted to a number of planning authorities we have now had 30 of them approved.
Based in North Devon, we continue to develop our skill base. Having sat through the hearing sessions for the newly adopted North Devon and Torridge Local Plan we have an in-depth insight in how this Plan can now be utilised to support development proposals.
"Maria Bailey and her team were so professional. We felt they had everything covered throughout and there was always someone available to guide us. The plans drawn by Ian were excellent" - S. Taskis
